Carnival in Ipiros

ARTA

Each year a women's carnival is held in Arta. It is organised exclusively  by groups of women.
Every year, on the Wednesday before carnival, they parade and dance in the main street of the city (Skoufa St.), dressed in carnival costumes, and end up in taverns to celebrate until dawn.
